Howl is Bre McDaniel’s debut full length album released on Orphan Girl Records.

Produced and engineered by Elisa Pangsaeng, the LP features field recordings from the coastal landscape that inspired much of the music. Listen close for white noise from waterfalls, crackling embers of a dying fire, violin accompanied flocks of starlings, and thematic lyrics echoing the message that we need the tonic of wildness. Choosing to work soley with female collaborators for this project, McDaniel celebrates the leadership of women today with a range of upbeat indie songs and ethereal interludes rooted in the folk tradition of social justice songwriting.
